Tanika Ray (born January 25, 1972 in Washington DC) is an actress and TV host who began her career as a professional dancer with various artists including Will Smith and the Backstreet Boys. She also had guest roles on NYPD Blue, Family Matters, and the long-running music series Soul Train.

From 2004 to mid-2009, Ray was the New York correspondent for the entertainment magazine show Extra, and in 2006 began hosting the show's weekend episodes. In 2011, she hosted Season 6 of the HGTV reality show Design Star; Tanika had been announced as host of Season 7 (2012), but for reasons unknown was replaced by David Bromstad.

Ray currently serves a relatively-minor role on The CW's game show Oh, Sit! (Extreme Musical Chairs during development),[1] a series whose name has drawn scorn from various media for its clear connotations, which debuted on August 15, 2012.

Wheel of FortuneEdit

Tanika's role in the American franchise is minimal: through the use of motion-capture technology, she played the CGI hostess/announcer Cyber Lucy on the short-lived children's spinoff Wheel 2000.[2] She was also the official "voice" of CBS' Saturday-morning lineup.
